Hello! I’m Ashley Anson, and I created Healing Hearts Haven out of a deep desire to offer something in addition to traditional therapy—something intuitive, creative, and empowering. My own journey of healing from childhood trauma, poverty, narcissistic partnerships, enmeshed family dynamics, codependency, chronic anxiety, miscarriage, and loss of financial security, led me into criminal and family law, where I spent years working with youth and families in the juvenile justice system. What I witnessed confirmed something I had long suspected: even the best systems—legal or therapeutic—often focus on individuals without adequately addressing the emotional and environmental patterns they return to. While therapy plays a critical role, I saw an opportunity to offer something more… something different. Not instead of, but alongside. In December 2024, I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and began practicing as an LMFT-Supervisee. It was through years of professional and personal healing work that it became clear to me that coaching—especially when infused with intuitive insight and creative expression—could provide a more active and accessible bridge between awareness and transformation. That’s why in April 2025, I transitioned fully into offering intuitive coaching, artistic immersion, and systemic self-discovery alongside the traditional therapy I practice. As a holistic Life Coach with a foundation in clinical training, I bring a unique blend of professional experience, personal insight, and intuitive guidance to the work I do. While I hold a provisional license in Marriage and Family Therapy, I choose to work as a Creative Life Coach as well because it allows me the freedom to combine lived experience, psychoeducation, and creative healing practices in a way that transcends the limits of traditional therapy models. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all—every individual, couple, or family has a unique path forward, and my role is to help you trust your own. Healing Hearts Haven isn’t here to compete with therapy. We honor and respect clinical models because we also offer those services to those who need diagnosis, medication, and mental health intervention. What we offer additionally is the next step in the journey: action-based, heart-centered, and creatively driven experiences that help individuals, families, and even organizations unlock what lies beyond analysis—real, empowered change. We believe healing happens in motion. Whether through one-on-one therapy, coaching, immersive workshops, creative courses, or art-infused retreats, our work focuses on helping people shift from cycles of rumination to patterns of action. Through tools like painting, writing, intuitive guidance, and storytelling, we support people in reclaiming their narratives and cultivating self-trust. My goal? To empower the healer within. Whether you're seeking clarity, reconnection, or a completely new chapter—you're welcome here. I look forward to working together through one-on-one sessions, courses, or workshops and retreats. Speaking engagements and trainings may be booked upon request!
"Finding the right guidance takes time, energy and often times, a lot of trial and error. Luckily, I instantly knew I was in the right hands after my first session with Ashley. She helped me work through deep rooted trauma and helped me understand and connect some of my current feelings and issues back to things from my past. She asked questions that allowed me to think deeply about my behaviors and opened my eyes to things I never realized were connected which allowed me to work through my issues easier. She also really helped me re-wire my thought process to be healthier and to give myself more grace. I genuinely believe Ashley has a gift and the ability to truly help others. In just a short time, I felt a noticeable improvement in the state of my mental health. I couldn’t recommend Ashley enough!"
What I like most and dislike most about Ashley's style is she is not afraid to say what she thinks even it if upsets her clients. Making them stop and think and process their own train of thought is beneficial even if frustrating at times. She doesn't mind making people uncomfortable and taking them out of their comfort zone but she doesn't push too hard when she recognizes they are not ready. She takes client concerns seriously but leaves it at that until she realizes that there is an actual concern to address. She is willing to look at every angle of the family to help find resolution for everyone.
Talking with Ashley was hard, really hard if I’m being honest and required me to put my pride aside and open up again. It was also a pivotal part of my healing process for many reasons and for that I can never truly find the words to thank her for how she helped me through a really really difficult time in my life. Although I still have work to do and things to heal through, I am better equipped to do so and continue to remind myself my feelings are valid, what I’ve dealt with isn’t normal, nor does it have to consume me anymore.
