Healing Hearts Haven Coaching

I’m Ashley Anson, founder of Healing Hearts Haven. My journey began with healing from my own childhood abuse, which led me to a career in criminal and family law, where I worked with youth and families in the juvenile justice system. I saw firsthand how our legal and therapy systems focus on individuals while ignoring the broken environments they return to. This approach often fails to create lasting change. While drug courts have begun to recognize the importance of changing people, places, and things in addiction recovery, there are still no real systemic programs addressing emotional abuse in the home. Our youth are left without the tools or support they need to break free from cycles of dysfunction. After years as a criminal and family law attorney, I realized that true change doesn’t happen in the courtroom—it happens in the hearts and minds of individuals and families. Seeking to be part of the solution rather than reinforcing the problem, I shifted my focus from law to therapeutic and transformative healing. I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in December 2024. I had the option of practicing as an MFT-Licensee, however, my passion for coaching, retreats, and immersive programming has led me to expand into Healing Hearts Haven—a space dedicated to deeper, systemic transformation beyond traditional therapy. I wish to bring this therapy alternative to people who desperately need it! That’s why Healing Hearts Haven exists. We’re here to offer real alternatives—ones that strengthen families, empower individuals, and provide systemic solutions that traditional models overlook. I look forward to working together through our one-on-one sessions, our courses, or workshops and retreats. Speaking engagements may be booked upon request!

"Finding the right guidance takes time, energy and often times, a lot of trial and error. Luckily, I instantly knew I was in the right hands after my first session with Ashley. She helped me work through deep rooted trauma and helped me understand and connect some of my current feelings and issues back to things from my past. She asked questions that allowed me to think deeply about my behaviors and opened my eyes to things I never realized were connected which allowed me to work through my issues easier. She also really helped me re-wire my thought process to be healthier and to give myself more grace. I genuinely believe Ashley has a gift and the ability to truly help others. In just a short time, I felt a noticeable improvement in the state of my mental health. I couldn’t recommend Ashley enough!"

What I like most and dislike most about Ashley's style is she is not afraid to say what she thinks even it if upsets her clients. Making them stop and think and process their own train of thought is beneficial even if frustrating at times. She doesn't mind making people uncomfortable and taking them out of their comfort zone but she doesn't push too hard when she recognizes they are not ready. She takes client concerns seriously but leaves it at that until she realizes that there is an actual concern to address. She is willing to look at every angle of the family to help find resolution for everyone.

Talking with Ashley was hard, really hard if I’m being honest and required me to put my pride aside and open up again. It was also a pivotal part of my healing process for many reasons and for that I can never truly find the words to thank her for how she helped me through a really really difficult time in my life. Although I still have work to do and things to heal through, I am better equipped to do so and continue to remind myself my feelings are valid, what I’ve dealt with isn’t normal, nor does it have to consume me anymore.
