Dr. Jamie J. Brown

Dr. Jamie J. Brown lives in two distinct worlds as she is hard-of-hearing. She is an amazing individual born to bridge the gap of communication. With over 30 years of experience in various capacities within the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. She is passionate about helping the deaf and hearing experience greatness within themselves by sharing tools and strategies to help them overcome adversities, build self-confidence, and achieve their goals. She is bilingual in English and American Sign Language. She mentors students to become confident, competent and effective communicators through interpreting within the Deaf community. Dr. Brown is the Chief Empowerment Officer & Founder of JBEMPOWERS COACHING & CONSULTING, she is a Certified Professional Life Coach, Consultant, Author, Speaker, Deaf Interpreter & Encourager. She is an active member of several national and local organizations that have a global impact such as National Black Deaf Advocates, and National Association of the Deaf. Dr. Brown’s ultimate goal is to continue to serve as a passionate advocate for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community by bridging the gap between the deaf & hearing worlds through faith, empowerment, awareness, education, and encouragement.
